Acadience Reading K–6 (formerly known as DIBELS NEXT) has been selected as Indiana’s preferred universal screener. For more information regarding IDOE guidance or for Indiana specific implementation questions, contact the Literacy Center.
Acadience Reading K–6 is an early literacy and reading screening tool designed to identify students who are at risk in order to provide timely instructional support and prevent the occurrence of later reading difficulties. Assessment measures may be administered manually (paper-pencil) or digitally using a tablet/device with a touch enabled screen. Assessment results are available immediately in Acadience Learning Online (ALO), a data management and reporting platform developed by the authors of Acadience assessment. ALO offers dynamic, flexible and robust data visualizations and reporting features.
See our Help Center for more information about what the assessment is and why it is beneficial for educators.
