Release of Acadience Reading Diagnostic CFOL

July 12, 2019

Acadience Learning is excited to announce the official release of Acadience Reading Diagnostic: Comprehension, Fluency, & Oral Language (CFOL) for the 2019-2020 school year.

A primary purpose and intended use of CFOL is to assist educators in (a) untangling the many possible reasons why a student may struggle with comprehension, and (b) better targeting interventions to those skill areas that support reading comprehension.

Acadience Reading 7–9 Research Release for the 2019-2020 School Year

Acadience Learning is pleased to announce the continued research release of Acadience Reading 7-9 to research partners for the 2019-2020 school year. Acadience Reading 7-9 is a formative assessment for students in grades 7 to 9. The measures are directly aligned with the Common Core Standards in Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

Release of Acadience Reading Pre-K (PELI®)

May 16, 2019

The authors of the Acadience family of assessments are pleased to announce the full release of Acadience Reading Pre-K (PELI). PELI is designed for preschool and pre-kindergarten students (ages 3 to 5) and assesses alphabet knowledge, vocabulary and oral language, phonological awareness, and listening comprehension. The assessment is given in a storybook format that will be familiar to most preschool students.

Joint Statement on Resolution of Legal Proceedings

The University of Oregon (UO) and Dynamic Measurement Group have amicably settled a dispute regarding the copyright and trademark ownership of the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) and Indicadores Dinámicos del Éxito en la Lectura (IDEL) assessments.

IDAPEL Early Release for the 2018-2019 School Year

Acadience Learning is pleased to announce the early release of IDAPEL for research partners for the 2018-2019 school year. IDAPEL is a series of French-language formative assessments designed to assess the early literacy skills of students learning to read in French in grades K through 5. IDAPEL assesses the fundamental early reading skills of phonemic awareness, alphabetic principle, accuracy and fluency with connected text, and text comprehension.

Announcing an additional category for Above Benchmark performance

The authors at Acadience Learning recently released a new Above Benchmark level for Acadience Reading K–6 (also published as DIBELS Next®).

The benchmark goals and cut points for risk have not changed. The new Above Benchmark level provides a higher goal for which typical- and high-achieving students and schools can aim.
