Sonia Lewis works as a System Support Specialist at Acadience, serving as a strategic thought partner to district and school leaders. She assists teams with data analysis as they develop and monitor action plans across all tiers of support to improve student outcomes as well as helps teams build their internal capacity to support the systems needed for long-term success. In addition to this work, she also provides professional learning.
Sonia holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Throughout her 25+ year career, Sonia has worked as a teacher, school psychologist, educational consultant, university professor, professional learning content specialist for a statewide integrated reading and behavior MTSS initiative, and has worked privately with numerous school districts and intermediate school districts to strengthen their MTSS frameworks. She has also been an invited speaker to several national conferences.
Sonia enjoys spending time with her husband and extended family, going to the beach, hiking, watching her children thrive in their sports and careers, and snuggling with her shih tzu.
