Mentors’ Network

The use of the Acadience Training materials by Acadience Mentors is subject to an educational use agreement. Please read the agreement below carefully and click I AGREE to accept the terms.

Acadience Mentor “Use Agreement”:

Acadience Mentors have two primary functions: providing training utilizing Acadience Workshop materials and offering implementation support for Acadience assessments. As such, Mentors have access to Acadience training materials and resources. Mentor shall use the training materials and resources only for the following purposes, and will not use the training materials and Acadience resources for any other purpose without prior written approval from Acadience Learning Inc. 

Use within the Agency (Non-Commercial Use)

A mentor who trains other educators within the school, school district or other educational organization at which Mentor is employed (“Agency”) to administer, score, and interpret Acadience assessments (“Non-Commercial Use”). 

• Mentor may use the Training Materials to train other educators within the Agency to administer, score, and interpret Acadience assessments. 
• Mentor shall purchase Acadience training workbooks for training session participants when conducting an Acadience Workshop (e.g. Essential, Data Interpretation, etc.) unless training books are unavailable or another arrangement is approved in advance by Acadience Learning Inc.
• Mentor acknowledges that this permitted Non-Commercial Use within the Agency does not authorize the Mentor to use the Training Materials to, among other things, train other Acadience trainers or Mentors.
• Mentor shall only use the then-current version of the Training Materials posted in the Acadience Mentor account

Note: To order training books (with handouts for training session participants), Mentors will log in to the Mentors’ Network and make a purchase from the Acadience Online Store. 

Use outside the Agency (Commercial Use)

Use of the Training Materials to train persons not employed by Mentor’s Agency to administer, score, and interpret Acadience assessments is considered a commercial use. For example, providing training to persons employed by schools, districts, and other educational agencies other than Mentor’s Agency or providing other training workshops with registrations open to the public would be a Commercial Use.

• In order for Mentor to use the Training Materials to provide training outside of their Agency for Commercial Use, a separate Memorandum of Understanding outlining terms and conditions must be completed. For support with this request, contact mentors@acadiencelearning.org for support in completing this process.  

Training Material Usage

• The Training Materials may not be altered or incorporated into or compiled with other materials, either in whole or in part, by any means, electronic, print, or otherwise, without the prior written permission of Acadience Learning Inc. Alteration includes, but is not limited to, changes to font, sequence, content, or the removal of the words “Acadience” or “Acadience Learning Inc.” No part of the Training Materials may be used to make other works based, in whole or in part, on the Training Materials.

• The Training Materials may not be copied, distributed, displayed, or reproduced in any format or media (e.g., print, DVD, web pages, learning management platforms) without the prior written permission of Acadience Learning Inc.

• The provisions of the preceding paragraph to the contrary notwithstanding, Mentor may: 

(a) print a paper copy of the Training Materials for Mentor’s own use in preparing for and providing training within the scope of use authorized above in Section 1; (b) download the Training Materials onto the computer that Mentor uses to conduct training within the scope of use authorized above in Section 1, and (c) display the PowerPoint slides contained within the Training Materials in the course of training within the scope of use authorized above in Section 1.

• Mentor will take all necessary and appropriate action to safeguard the Training Materials from any use that is not permitted by this Use Agreement (including but not limited to the sale and/or commercial distribution) and will immediately notify Acadience Learning Inc. if the Mentor becomes aware that the Training Materials have been sold or commercially distributed or otherwise used in a manner that is not authorized by this Use Agreement.
• Mentor may use the Training Materials pursuant to the Use Agreement so long as the Mentor completes the Annual Mentor Renewal process including the completion of the required Mentor Renewal Workshop and associated survey. If the Mentor fails to complete the required renewal process, all rights of the Mentor in the Mentors’ Network and to the Training Materials will terminate.

Acadience Mentors’ Network & Asynchronous Resources

• Mentor will be granted access to the Acadience Mentors’ Network upon completion of the Mentor training and maintain access upon completion of the annual Mentor Renewal process. 
• The Acadience Mentors’ Network includes resources to support a Mentor to effectively perform activities related to their role. 
• Mentor purchases of asynchronous courses or workshops may only be used for personal support or to carry out the training or implementation support function in live settings. Mentor may not share passwords or otherwise provide access to the Mentors’ Network or asynchronous learning to others. 

I agree to the terms and conditions described above concerning the use of the Training Materials. 

Acadience Learning agrees that the named individual has the right to use the Acadience Training materials provided to Mentors according to the terms and conditions described.
